Our Story
OUR BEGINNINGS
In 1997 Keith Richards and his wife Amy took a vacation to Greece. There they discovered small-table Mediterranean cafes where everyone in the community gathered together to connect and celebrate life. They enjoyed the food, but also observed a deeper kind of warmth that led them to say, “That’s what I want to spend my life doing.” Inspired, the first Taziki’s was born in 1998. Over the years, with the addition of new Taziki’s Cafe’s across the country, our brand has become a family of big-hearted foodies committed to positively affecting their communities.
Always Evolving
The challenges of 2020 accelerated technology trends that were already happening at Taziki’s and across the restaurant industry. Taziki's was well-positioned for this natural evolution and is now in a great place for 2021 and beyond.
EUDAIMONIA
The Greek word Eudaimonia simply means “human flourishing.” This is the essence of Taziki’s. We believe in sharing the impactful and everyday moments of life over a delicious meal with loved ones which is why you’ll find a community table in every one of our restaurants. We put heart behind everything we do because we value the “flourishing” of our guests.
OUR VALUES
Our mission is to create an environment that combines extraordinary food with a meaningful human connection. We developed our culture compass to visually express our founder’s intentions on how we govern our brand. In the compass, we feature our five brand values which explain “how” we achieve our mission daily.
COMMITMENT TO OUR COMMUNITY
Everyone is welcome at our table and we make sure no one is ever left out. We strive to live according to our core value of connection. Our main community outreach is our Hope Program, with a focus on employing those with special needs.
